Pre-Trip Planning

We are very excited to commence our trip from Vancouver to Ottawa which we hope to complete in six weeks. We will be traveling by Highway 1.Thank you for taking part on our journey with us! We hope to have a blog post up every few days, depending on the wifi availability at campgrounds.

Our team is composed of three people: Felix, Josianne and Rob.

Meet Felix: A twenty year old boy who is trying to find himself while conquering Canada by bike.

Meet Josianne: An eighteen year old girl who is hoping to get fit for university in September.

Meet Rob: An almost sixty year old man who has just retired and is trying to keep occupied.

In preparation we have completed two weekend trips to the Sunshine Coast, camping overnight at Porpoise Bay Provincial Park. We are using road bikes with rear panniers. We're following the guidebook Canada by Bicycle, which outlines our route and campgrounds.

For the first two weeks we will be accompanied by the two and only Marie-France and Boku (our dog). They will be traveling by car with us to Calgary at which time they will turn around and return to Vancouver.
